When I was six there was this painter at my school, who was showing us paintings. I asked him a question: "How did you get the idea?" His answer was: "I saw someone else's work and I wanted to make something just like it." But what I really meant is how did you get the idea to become a painter in the first place. And when did you ever get the idea to make this painting anyway, did you grab your wife's curtains and paint and mayonaise? Or were you bored?
And still, 11 years later, I don't have an answer.
